Guided Signing Arrives on SignDeck

A faster, guided, and more reliable way to get your documents signed.

We’ve been working hard to make SignDeck not only simple to use, but powerful enough to support real business workflows.

Today, we’re excited to release one of our biggest updates yet:

You can now add e-signature fields directly to your PDFs before sending them for signing.

This unlocks an entirely new way to prepare documents — giving you more control, cleaner results, and a smoother experience for your Contacts.

Why this matters

Until now, SignDeck allowed free-form signing: your Contact could place their signature anywhere on the PDF. It worked well for simple documents, but many users needed something more structured.

With e-signature fields, you can now:

• Place signature fields, text inputs, and date fields on your PDF.
• Guide your Contact through a clear signing flow.
• Prevent missed fields, mistakes, or incomplete information.
• Create cleaner, more professional agreements in minutes.

This is the kind of workflow upgrade that saves time, reduces errors, and makes signing feel effortless for everyone involved.

Simple and fast workflow

Using fields is straightforward:

1. Upload your PDF
2. Drag and place the fields you want
3. Send to your Contact
4. They sign with a guided, step-by-step flow

When your Contact signs their first signature field, SignDeck automatically applies the same signature to all other signature fields in the document — keeping the experience fast and intuitive.

If you prefer the original free-signing flow, that’s still available. Just send your PDF without adding fields, and your Contact can sign anywhere they like.

Templates now support fields

This release also extends to Templates.

If you save a Template that includes fields, SignDeck will apply them automatically the next time you use that Template.

This is perfect for repeat documents like:

• Service agreements
• NDAs
• HR forms
• Client onboarding documents
• Freelance contracts
